BLUE tit, GREY skies

Well, a couple of beautiful days and then the sun has disappeared; grey skies are back and even that evil wind made its presence felt again today.

Its been a mixed day, work intense as usual, lunch with Mr T by default actually, as he was kind enough to escort me to the garage at lunchtime to have a large nail/no, even larger screw extracted from one of my car tyres and I had to leave the car there for repair, so we had a quick lunch together before he departed to the Gliding club for a long weekend and I need my car for an early morning start tomorrow .... back to the Farm for a "Dawn Chorus Walk" with an RSPB guy who is going to help us identify the different bird songs from the dawn chorus, we'll watch the sun (what's that?) rise and then repair to the Farm for a full English. I am going to have to get out of bed around 4am. Am I going completely mad??

Mr. 'fluffy bottom' here appeared before me this evening after work as I took a quick stroll down one of my favourite stretches of the River Tern for a quick check on Swan #2 (blip of a couple of weeks ago) who I am glad to see is still sitting tight on her very impressive nest.
