Moon Sliver

I was so tired when I came home late on Saturday that I just posted the photo I had take after leaving work, without saying anything about the amazing night sky I found waiting for me when I returned home. It was one of those dark, clear nights with no moon, when the milky way was bright and stretching out over the whole field. The kind of night when you have to just stand there by the car taking it in even if you are tired.  Looking at the sliver of moon hovering above the horizon just now brought it all back, along with a host of fond memories of looking at the night sky in the fall.
