The Mitchell

Now the scaffolding has gone the magnificent west entrance to Glasgow’s Mitchell Library is revealed.

This is the newest part of the library, the
extension was built on the site of the famous St Andrew’s Halls, destroyed by fire in 1962. Fortunately the facade survived the fire.
