A Loss of Chlorophyll

A full working day and it's now getting to a point where either the beginning or end of the work takes place in darkness.  I had time to walk around our garden (it is really small so only take a few seconds!) and noticed the change in colour on our ornamental acer.  

Driving around the countryside yesterday also gives me the impression that autumn colours have started early, probably due to the stress the hot summer weather and lack of rain has had on plants.  It'll be interesting to see if we get some spectacular colour during October.
