Bagging A Handy Frame, London
Finally, finally, got our much delayed pay rise at work. We were supposed to get it at the end of April but will actually receive it at the end of this month. Unfortunately, it really wasn't worth waiting for, even after we had to fill in the obligatory "performance assessment" and state our objectives for the next year and how we could improve our work practices. I have tried making suggestions over the years but it's like talking to a brick wall. Anyway, what it boiled down to was a massive pay increase of 2.84 per cent! That's going to really keep the wolves from the door this winter.
I had a much better time trying to take today's image. What I love about street photography are those tiny moments where, for a split second, a crowded street clears and you suddenly capture someone in isolation lost in a moment where they make a gesture or a movement that just seems to bring a frame to life. I hope my shot encapsulates some of that.
