Falling Foss - backblip

Sadly it’s our last day here in Sunny North Yorkshire and armed with picnics we took off on another adventure.  First stop a walk down to the beautiful Fallen Foss waterfall and tea rooms.  We didn’t walk all the way down to the falls but admired its beauty from above and then sat and had our picnic lunch accompanied by lots of birds eager to pick up any crumbs dropped.  A cheeky Robin in extra*

Finally we stopped off at Robin Hood’s Bay ‘A small fishing village and bay located in the North York Moors National Park, 6 miles south of Whitby.  Its local name is in the ancient chapelry of Fylingdales in the wapentake of Whitby Strand’ and another very pretty village it is;   we made our way along narrow streets down to the harbour, K and I stopping off at lots of interesting shops and spending rather too much time in the second hand bookshop.
After ascending the very steep slope back up to the top again a slap up fish ‘n’ chip supper was called for and voted the best fish ‘n’ chips we’d had in ages.

Extra:  the Robin
