Moving Day

For what seems like months (actually it has been several) our neighbours have been in the process of moving.
Today was the day. No 7 moved to No 12. No 12 moved to another nearby village. A young family moved into No 7 coming from East London.
So from 8.30 am to 8.30 pm there have been removal lorries all around us today.
No 7 is behind us, No 12 is front left across the road from us.
The morning was relatively quiet, which was good as I had an eight and half month pregnant client in for a meeting to complete her tax returns.
We had lunch after doing the tax returns, you can see her sitting with Vinnie. (She’s also my daughter in law, so that’s our 4th grandchild nearly here)
The added complication with the house move was that until yesterday evening, I thought S&C from No 7 were going to be moving their hot tub over to the new house too. The only way to do that is by crane. Lifting it over the roof, over our garage, along the road and into the new garden over that roof. With Rachel being so close to baby time, I had visions of her getting stuck on our drive, penned in by the crane, panicking and going into labour.
Fortunately, they are not moving the hot tub for a couple of weeks. So on the plus side, that will be another blip!
The money transfers were all delayed apparently, so keys were not available till gone 5pm, and they were all just hanging around waiting.
Anyway, everyone is in the right house. Rachel got home with baby still tucked inside and it was gone 10pm before I remembered to blip.
