Bird’s Nest Weed
Thanks so much for your lovely comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s Bodnant reflections. It was a magical moment watching the reflections in the terrace ponds and I’m so pleased you liked it too.
Thankfully, it’s another day of early autumn sunshine - in fact I completed misjudge the temperature outside, and dress far too warmly for a lovely catch-up lunch with a friend. It seems impossible that it was so cold just two days back!
Lunch over, there’s time for a short walk in the reserve. It’s the umbellifers I spot today, late afternoon sunlight piercing through the clouds providing backlighting for the clenched posies of wild carrot. Queen Anne’s Lace, it’s other name, so suits its elegant starburst flowers, wide open in the summer sunshine. Small wonder that its current autumnal state gives rise to yet another name - Bird’s Nest Weed.
Of course it’s Thursday - my day to ‘faff around’ with photos, so loosely following Ingeborg’s ‘filter’ theme, I turn to adding to these seed-heads using Distressed App once more.
Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting!
