A Harbour, A Castle and A Lighthouse

We had an early start, spending all morning visiting the steel plant and meeting the local team. The weather was dreadful and I was glad of the loan of a raincoat.

We all went for lunch in a local restaurant and I was rather surprised to be offered 3 courses…not quite the sandwiches I would normally have and I had to concentrate not to have an unplanned siesta in the afternoon.

This evening we went to dinner in a local town called Castro Urdiales, a very pretty town with a harbour, castle and as you can just about make out here a lighthouse. We had a lovely meal where they bought a big chunk of sliced beef and a very hot brick and you cooked your own meat..it was delicious and coupled with a very nice wine, it made for a really good evening.
