A storm spread up the South Island overnight, depositing fresh snow. It always adds a certain something to photos!

I’ve driven from Arrowtown to Christchurch today, and arrived in good time. There was all sorts of weather and road conditions. There was fresh snow on the Lindis Pass but only enough to make it even more striking.

Tomorrow is the Special Gathering organised by NaturePhotographicSoc, to mourn the deaths of the five members, in that awful Kaikōura boat tragedy. It’ll be good to catch up with everyone.
