Another tower

This is the remains of St Lukes Church, Cheetham Hill, Manchester. Only the tower remains - just - plus the cemetary. In the 1870s it was the richest church in Manchester when people used tolive near the city centre. Now the area is multi-racial and congregations declined. It closed in 1970 and has been left to rack and ruin. It is in the 'care' of the Heritage Trust for the North West. Apparently it is awaiting restoration.
