Autumn at the top of the garden
I had a beautician’s appointment this morning, the first since Spring as sadly S had an accident which has literally put her out of business for the whole summer. She tripped up at work and broke her ankle in two places and her shin bone shattered.
She’s had two operations and may yet need another to remove some other the metal work they have put in place.
I received a text the other day to say she was starting up again with certain treatments. She can’t do anything that requires a lot of standing but she was able to do a pedicure sitting down though she missed out the foot spa and scrub as she can’t kneel either! It was nice to see her back in action.
I was back before the rain started and took these pics at the top of the back garden, lovely berries on the Pyracantha and a big fungus that has reappeared on the site of the old oak tree that was felled some years ago. ( A smaller one is along side it)
The rain arrived as predicted and I got stuck in to a bit of painting in the living room. Not a big job apart from moving everything!
Chris, not out today, has made some green tomato chutney, using a few that he picked off this year together with some frozen from previous years.
Settled down now to call it Friday. Weekend ahead, I hope this rain moves on as we are going to a wedding in the next village tomorrow.
