Burne Jones
What foul weather today, squally showers which were really heavy combined with strong winds which layer well into the afternoon. Sadly I had to go out and face the weather as I had an initial consultation about dental implants. Just an initial consultation with another to follow at the beginning of November. I did however manage to persuade them to book the consultation after that today as well which will cut the delay after that hopefully. No real answers today though which was disappointing although not unexpected.
Once I got home, we had a lovely afternoon as first Ali and Josie and then Katy, Jon, Isobel and Eilidh arrived for a visit. Wonderful to have our children and the grandchildren together.
This evening I drove through to Glasgow for a Cursillo meeting. The weather was much better for most of the drive thank goodness.
We were in St James church in Bishopbriggs where I saw these beautiful stained glass windows by Pre-Raphaelite artist Edward Burne Jones.
(Clockwise from top left, John, Luke, Matthew, Mark. St John appears to have lost his eagle) We had a lovely evening of fellowship and catching up amongst friends. The drive home again at 9.30 was fine with the M8 really quiet.
Today is National Galleries Art Quiz Day, I was really pleased to get 9/10, how will you get on? Good luck.
