A bee!

I scurried out to the shop in the rain, mostly keeping my head down and my camera in its bag. But on the way back I paused to admire the lovely sprays of little green blossoms on the Norway maples and noticed something bumbling about amongst them. A bumble bee - hurray! I was very pleased to see her, first one I've seen this year. The branches were moving a lot in the wind and so was the bee, so I only had one shot at this.

I also saw my first house martins of the year swooping low over the Water of Leith, but they were much faster than the bumble bee!
