Good Timing in Paradise.

Coming into our dock at high tide after a leisurely start for the drive to Canada, breeze thru the border and grocery shopping in Tsawwassen before the 4:05 ferry.    I knew when we booked it that the sun would set before 6:50 but thought we’d be fine.   Good the ferry was on time.   Got to the marina before 5:30..it’s 70 degrees F and calm like a summer day !..seems odd the marina store and restaurant are closed for the season.   It takes us (well, mostly Herb) awhile to schlep our stuff to the boat so this blip is now 6:24 PM.  Great timing …watched the sun set (extra) from the wharf at 6:40 or so...it’s so far to the west now!  but by the time H made several trips up the back hill with the cart (wishing the golf cart wasn’t broken) it was pitch dark.     All good…it’s paradise!   My happy place. 

today was Truth and Reconciliation Day in Canada  (Orange shirt Day) ...a day to recognize the history and remember the indigenous children who went to residential schools, many who never returned.   Lots  of orange shirts on Galiano Is.   good to see....
