Number One

I made my first cheese today: a simple ricotta. It tasted exactly as expected and I am ridiculously pleased with it. It could have done with a bit more seasoning, but that’s easily rectified.

The process was a bit fiddly but I think that’s probably because it was new to me, and next time I won’t need to refer to the instructions quite so much.

It was with real satisfaction that I sat down to pre-dinner crackers, ricotta and chutney this evening. All home made. All delicious.
