2022 Friday — Prevention

This backyard uphill slope project has taken lots of Allen Block, but it has taken a lot more hard work. All of this enormous transformation has taken place, not because we wanted or needed an outdoor living space, No!

This was caused by the need to prevent a mudslide and the terrible mess that could come rushing down the hill and possibly into our house. After a very strong and powerful storm in January 2021, that dumped over an inch of rain in less than a few hours, we saw the evidence of potential mud slides and knew that we were looking at a possible disaster.
