My sister in the US has a home on Sanibel Island which was right in the path of Hurricane Ian so we’ve been watching the news in horror the last few days. Their house seems to have survived but she’s heart broken for all the people she knows whose lives are broken by the devastation to the island and the rest of Florida.  It’s so very,very sad. 
Todays weather here was ( as forecast) wild with heavy rain and high winds. It started as N collected mum and her two friends to take them for coffee at another friend’s home and by the time we took them back about 12.30 they were all glad to be home - as were we! 

Rest of the day spent sewing and switching off from the world.
