The last one standing!

A new month and deep into autumn now I guess.
It’s a lovely sunny day and great to see this peacock butterfly so late in the year.
The extra shows that this beauty landed on the last bloom on our buddleia bush.
Just how did he find it - a great sense of smell, good eyesight or just luck when he was out for a fly about?
I like the idea that butterflies, bees, birds etc just enjoy the fun of flying at times.
