My Last Day in Orkney

My holiday had to end sometime and today was the day. I had time to go for a short walk to South End in Stromness to imprint the views onto my memory before one of the lovely Selkies drove me to the airport. It was a busy flight south but the plane left before it’s scheduled time of 1:35pm and arrived into Edinburgh at 2:30pm in a heavy shower of rain.

I wasn’t expecting to be met In Edinburgh but lo and behold, there was Porty daughter waiting for me. I was so pleased to see her and it was wonderful to have help with my case getting home.

Now I can relax- I’m unpacked, I’ve done some shopping and I’ve sent my meter readings to British Gas.

I’ve had a wonderful month in Orkney and now I have to get used to seeing grass outside my window rather than sea.
