First stop this morning was the sustainable clothes swap. A bit like an outdoor jumble sale, except that you give items of clothing to a shop beforehand, and are given a ticket saying how many items you've donated. On ticket-redemption day, you go along to the outdoor tables/racks and choose some other items of clothing ( or even select your donated clothing again!) I didn't take a picture. I wish I had. I got a scarf and a weird cotton cardigan.
Then I went to the Meeting Trauma with Resilience workshop. This was mostly for families hosting Ukrainian refugees, but others were there too, including a US psychologist from a nearby town, and a Ukrainian psychotherapist staying with a host family. I can't tell you what we talked about, but I found it useful.
Wandered about town for a bit afterwards. Bumped into the dad of the boys I used to look after, AND all the boys! The twins have started school now, one's doing ok, the other's still a tiny bit unsure. Eldest boy told me his birthday would be in nine days' time, at which point one twin said that HIS would be in fifty-five days' time, and other twin said, 'and mine's on the same day!' I was overjoyed to see them again.
After visiting the library, I wandered home. Friend J whom I was supposed to be meeting, has vanished off the face of the earth. I suspect she's in the Forest of Dean..
