Parisiens!

So nice to be back in Paris! Our train travel went well this morning and we had a good meeting with our vivacious landlady. We are back renting the same apartment we had when I first started this blipjournal, back in 2011-12, so it feels a bit like coming home. There are still some things in the apartment that were ours or that we bought (books, a printer, a desk), and friends have rented it as well in the past 10 years, so we are thinking of them here too! 

We had a late lunch at Le Mirabeau, a café that is close by, and got a bunch of groceries at Monop. As fun as it has been to see all the friends, family and places we did since we hit the road in August, it is really nice to know that we can stay put for a while now and can finally unpack our suitcases! (And we hope that the other 3 will arrive on Monday as expected!)

This is the view from the apartment towards the pont Mirabeau, just as the sun was setting. A huge flock of birds came out and we watched them while we had dinner, as well as a large river cruising boat that just managed to squeeze its way through the bridge.
