Live Below the Line

This week, with 2 friends, we have spent no more than £1 a day on food and drink.
We pooled our resources so had a total of £4 each day with which to buy all ingredients for our meals.

Live Below the Line is a campaign that's challenging the way people in the UK think about poverty

We were amazed how well we could eat but it took a lot of planning - weighing everything and planning its cost. Breakfast and lunch became a bit dull -porridge for breakfast, homemade soup for lunch but we a good meal each evening.
I really missed cups of tea and mid morning and afternoon biscuits and felt the lack of sugar and fruit
Also realised how much we usually waste - there was no waste at all
