Picnics with friends

We had guests today. My good friend Becky travelled down to visit us with her 2 year old Monty and nearly 1 year old Jemima. She said she wanted some photography tips, really she just missed me - I know the truth.

It was a lovely day so for lunch we had a picnic in the garden, then we ventured up to the park so that Monty could be entertained by the slide while B and I talked cameras. The younglings played on the swings and had a nap while I explained the exposure triangle (I swear sometimes I should practice what I preach) and I think she's got it down! We'll soon find out.

Awful absence of fill light here but I love the stern look on his face, it's more "mother, push me, don't just stand there taking photos".
