Today's the day ........................... to make speeches

Big reception tonight for all the French singers who have come over to join us in the concert tomorrow night.

The Mayor of Kendal did his welcome speech. There were presentations of gifts and multiple translations in pigeon English and schoolgirl/boy French followed by lots of double kissing. We ate and we drank - and we all had a wonderful time.

With a bit of luck (and a good night's sleep), the heads should be clear and the voices in peak condition for a good sing tomorrow night .......................
