This was Hipperholme Library. Closed in 2020, and sold at auction by Calderdale Council in July this year.
Guide price £120,000 but bought by an unknown buyer for £286,000.
Dates back to 1899 originally built as council offices for Hipperholme U.D.C. Still with the original ornate stonework and stained glass windows.
The council’s last meeting held in 1937, when it was incorporated into the enlarged Borough of Brighouse which in turn was swallowed up by Calderdale.
Opened as a library in 1938.and closed in 2020.
I wonder what it will now become.
