Waiting for the Daylight
A very special day. I travelled to Helsinki with Triinu to see Erja Lyytinen's gig, and not just any gig, but the first time she and the band play their upcoming album "Waiting for the Daylight" to live audience, which consisted of 30 people who had partcipated in her fundraising campaign. True hardcore fans, as she knew practically everyone by name.
The music was great and so was the atmosphere. Long talks, selfies and autographs after the gig. I'm sure everyone left happy! The album will be published next Friday, but you can watch the videos of the first singles "Bad Seed" and "Last Girl" on Youtube.
We stayed at a hotel at the Mall of Tripla in Pasila. The Finnish Music Museum is right next to the hotel and we visited there before the gig. One of my photos of Erja is in the exhibition of this years attendees to the Finnish Music Hall of Fame.
