At work

Lazy morning, put more washing out to dry.  Lazy breakfas.

Last night my neighbour requested a pet commission for her partner's birthday on the 25th of this month of their cats, Doc & Prof.  

The commission photos are rarely ideal.  And drawing black fur can be challenging.  Anyway I've made a start, enjoyably. 

Black fur despite challenges is interesting to draw.  Overall back would render the result as flat.  So adding dark indigo, loganbury or some deep green can lift the overall tone.  It's rare for most black cats to be pure black and often when sunlight shines on the fur a deep maroon brown can be seen.   

These poor cars had been mistreated as you might notice one ear has no pointy tip.  It helps that I have looked after them when their owners were away.  Also they frequent our garden.  In fact, yesterday I saw one of them running alongside the fox.  It looked like they were in cahoots.

Eyes tired of working closely for the best part of the day.
