Spooky stitching!

It might not look spooky yet, but hold on to your hats! This is a wee crochet project I started tonight. I’ll share the finished article, and no it’s not an octopus although it looks like one right now. I’m using the amigurumi technique; the name is a compound of the Japanese words ‘ami’ meaning crocheted or knitted, and ‘kurumi’ meaning wrapping. You work in a spiral, hence the name. I also read it could be from ‘ami’ and from ‘nuigurumi’, the latter meaning small, stuffed doll.
