Troy House

The weather forecast was 90% chance of rain for southern England and Wales but that didn't happen and it was a bright dry sunny day. We made the most of it by driving the ten minutes to Monmouth (South Wales UK) to do a circular walk from the ancient Monnow Bridge.

After walking past Troy House we entered a muddy farm track up into the woods but the track was overgrown and after a few detours it became obvious that we wouldn't be doing the route in the walking guide! Getting back on to the main road, walking back into Monmouth, we had a lovely view of Troy House and the old railway line over the River Monnow.

Our neighbours came around at 5pm and didn't go until close on 10pm as we celebrated his birthday and chatted away the hours, hence being late posting my blip!
