Yellow Bird.. Any ideas?

I went back to the park I went to on May Day with my classmate. I was hoping to get some nice flower pics but they are all gone. I suppose I will have to wait for the next batch to be planted.

I wasn't happy with this shot but it was a pretty bird and maybe someone can tell me what it was..

I missed a GREAT opportunity to take pics of a snake but I didn't see it till it was half slithered into a bush. I almost stood on it but was looking upwards for birds.
