De Dijk

We went to Amsterdam today, to the Ziggo Dome, to see the farewell concert of the fabulous Dutch band, De Dijk.

We arrived just after 17.00 at P2 near the Ziggo Dome. Huge crowds were already present at the ArenaPoort. Not only the 17.000 visitors for the concert were gathering, also 50.000 Ajax and Go Ahead Eagles supporters were arriving for the football match in the Amsterdam Arena.

After some fastfood we went inside and found our seats around 19.15. Perfect! First ring, with a great view.
At 20.15 De Dijk kicked off and played non stop until 23:00. 
Great, as always.

Annemarie and I have been to their concerts ever since we met, back in 1999. It's quite a thing, knowing that the band will stop after their tour in december. 
The concerts in the Ziggo Dome (5 in total) is their 'national' goodbye. We  will see them once again, in December, in the Oosterpoort in Groningen.
Looking forward to that already.

Around 1:40 we arrived safely at home.
Bas was sleeping, but Daan wasn't. He was still partying with friends in Siddeburen, at the Bokpop-concert, with (amongst others) Frans Bauer and Dries Roelvink.
Daan has woken up the party-animal he has inside of him. Haha. He came home at 3:10 (I learned the next morning).
