Last Plant Standing

This Geranium has sprung back to life and is doing the honours as my Blip today. I had planned a different shot but it will be a Double Day so time is of the essence and I like to get my Blip sorted early on these days. The other thing will have to wait...

Over at my Dad's today - I daresay I will spend quite a bit of time on the phone arranging and chasing up appointments as well as setting up a direct debit for British Gas.

Work again tonight. Last night was incredibly dull and quiet. I was bored out of my skull most of the night. Not taking card payments was still an issue though no-one swore at me fortunately. One customer went to the local cashpoint to find it had no money in. No real problems, other than for him. Another guy came and ordered his food, I prepared it, then he announced he had no cash. I suggested he went five minutes down the High Street to the second nearest cashpoint, and he never returned. No doubt he'd pass several places that do accept card payment and sell the same meals he ordered from us on the way and he decided one of them was the better option!

It broke up a long, boring night I guess. Hekmat, the boss is in London visiting family. Zeiyit is left here to his own devices other than working in the shop. He's Hekmat's cousin and lives with him currently. I think he's working 60-odd hours a week just for board and lodging! I have had no wages for a fortnight again, though I'm assured I will have some tonight.. 

I will also be told my next shifts, which will again involve extra nights. Since Newcastle/my birthday I have had just two (non consecutive) weeks where it has been normal both at Dad's and at work. Next week is Dad's Big Declutter, which will require more time over there no doubt.. Well, it will teach me not to have the temerity to take a break in future I guess...
