Penarvon Cove

A circular walk today, down to Penarvon cove, where we had to play ball with a collie, then through the woods and along the fields before descending to the woods along Frenchman’s creek.

I’ve never seen so many ferns growing along tree trunks before, and I’m sure none of the summer heat will have permeated this ancient woodland.  Lots of trees litter the creek, having toppled over for whatever reason.  It was a quite enchanting walk.

I’m sitting in the conservatory as I write this and can just spy a catamaran making its way lazily upstream.
