Small Pearl Bordered Fritillary
By now you will has worked out that I have a thing for butterflies. I am no expert but just like the challenge of photographing them. This in one of the Britain's rarities and on the at risk list. Luckily in Lancashire we have a prime site on Warton Crag where the Fund I manage is supporting habitat enhancement work to increase the population. These insects have a unique relationship between wild dog violets and bracken. Guess where I've been on a site visit today to monitor progress. This was an unbelievably lucky shot.
