Today we drove to St Earth and caught the train into St Ives. A bit of palaver with buying a ticket for the car park. The first machine wouldn’t work, the second machine said we had been charged £6.20 (it should have been £2.60) but didn’t produce a ticket. Back to the first machine, we didn’t have the right change so had to pay £3. I checked my credit card payments on our return and so far the £6.20 hasn’t appeared so crossed fingers, that was just a blip. I have gathered the evidence just in case.
We first walked to Carbis Bay where the G7 summit was held.We had a look at the tasting menu, 7 courses each including wine, £700 for 2 people, no thanks. We then went through town (too many people with numerous dogs, no offence to blip owners with dogs), one couple were sitting down with 4 enormous St Bernards. Then we went over the headland to Porthmeor beach where my blip was taken . We still managed to clock up over 6 miles but walked in much less time and more leisurely than yesterday. It stayed dry although there were some dark clouds and not so warm as yesterday.
