Autumn Colour
During our coffee and scones in the café at Cockenzie House I could see this autumnal horse chestnut tree in the garden, so afterwards we wandered round the garden for my photo. It stands close the the edge of the garden, near the pond.
Then we drove to Longniddry Bents no.2 for a potter round the rocks at low tide, noting the variety of shells (besides the ubiquitous mussels) including a huge lobster claw - I bet that tasted good! Birds included curlew, heron and oystercatchers.
Just as we returned to the car the rain began, though it must have merely skimmed over our part of town.
