Taking on a project

A few weeks ago I was contacted via my u3a email asking for help with a crochet project. The lady can’t finish this cardigan ( front panel shown) due to health issues , so I thought I could help. I’ve been trying to get the tension right for the 2 sleeves I need to make to finish it for her. Im now on the 3rd attempt at the foundation row , getting tighter and tighter (on smaller and smaller hooks, as I’m a loose crocheter, ) to achieve the correct dimensions! As my sister just reminded me; I knew I was taking on a project… might be a tough one!!
