Sweet Chestnuts
Seen this morning scattered around on the ground below the tree.
We were walking from Blockley up and over the ridge before descending down into Moreton-in-Marsh, passing by Batsford Arboretum on the way.
Glorious views of the village when looking behind us as we climbed. Interestingly for such a small place it hosted ten mills at one time, including one or two for silk production.
Our friends live in one of the old mill cottages which still has a mill pond and sluice gate in front of it with resident kingfishers present.
