A visitor

This moth came a-visiting this evening. I've searched online and in my little Collins pocket guide, but failed to identify it, despite its distinctive markings. Anyone have any suggestions? After my photo session we released it to the garden.

It's been a lovely mild day, in spite of the strong wind. This morning we had the boiler serviced and learned how to work the very complicated control unit. (Think we may get this changed for a modern one like we had in our last home.)

Then we did a massive shop. It's our first ever attempt to shop for a month's supply of groceries in one go. Doubtless by tomorrow we'll be realising what we missed off the list. Then we bought fish and chips to take round to Family B to share. (Dried a towel wash on the line very quickly, too!) A good day!
