Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again.

This month's village bookclub read. One of my absolute favourites.
We meet every month give or take a week and have a 5 minute chat about the book and then a 55 minute chat about the goings on in the village. Well maybe not every time ;)
We've changed the way we pick a book for the month ahead and based on various book bingo cards have selected our own. ie A Classic; book title with a colour in it; thriller and so on. These are on coloured discs, we pick a disc out of a bag and whatever theme comes up we chat about suggestions off a Google search and choose a book to read.
This month's theme was "A Classic" and from the chat we identified Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier as the book to read. We will also try and get the original film to watch at one of our film nights as some of the members have never seen it. Looking forward to that.
