who knew one - could take so - many sunflower portraits - in a single summer - i never really - paid much attention - to the lowly - sunflower before this summer - and with my decision - to devote what - i’ve designated as - a ‘study’ which only - really means special space - nothing more, i was merely - being silly because - i’m not seriously - studying them at all - just taking photos - anyway

point being, there have - been more sunflowers - in the community garden - this year than - last and they are - hanging around for me - for what seems much - longer as well - which simply thrills - me ‘cuz they’re so - easy to snap - whether against the sky - or against each other - and just looking - at them brings - pure joy to the heart - how can you not - help but to have…
