Newbold Comyn

Up early this morning in Royal Leamington Spa - out of the hotel before dawn - initially too dark to run through the riverside park. Ran to the lovely Newbold Comyn country park and then did most of the parkrun loop (my parkrunner friend Duncan says I missed out the last 'killer hill' - his mum is a regular volunteer at the Leamington parkrun). Back to the hotel, showered, changed and on the road just after 8am.

Parked up at the Hilton Metropole, then walked to the NEC to get a pre-show coffee, meeting a couple of friends. The show was busy until about lunchtime, but attendance thinned noticeably as the day wore on (I spoke to a couple of people who said they were having to leave early before train services started to wind down before tomorrow's strike).

The UK BIM Alliance has a new identity: Nima. I did some podcast recording about the change and the organisation's expanded focus on information management, and also compered the Digital Construction Hub stage. Spent the evening with three friends at Las Iguanas - vegetarian chilli and cocktails
