High above Villefranche

There were only three of us on the two chapel walk above Villefranche. We took the clockwise route which meant a two and a half hour climb to the first chapel which was a bit of a slog. We rose above the mist and the weather was perfect. The views down to the valley floor and to the garrison town and fort were impressive. We walked 12 kilometres and climbed 670 metres. The walk that took us five and a half hours.
