Keil’s Den
..is a lovely old wood at Upper Largo, run by the Woodland Trust.
Geordie and I set off to Leven for a bit of shopping and stopped here for a walk. We were lucky with the rain which petered out on our way there, and managed to stay off the whole walk. The wood was damp with wonderful autumn colours every way I turned. The burn had more water than the last time we were here, and I could here it trickling it’s way over and around stones for most of our walk. Underfoot there was a covering of fallen leaves, beech nuts, acorns, and in parts, crab apples. There was fungi galore.
Afterwards we went into Leven for bird food, strimmer cord, and some plants as a housewarming gift for Debbie.
