Auction Day

A few days ago, when we were picking up goat feed, we spotted a  sign on the side of the road that points to a turn for a livestock auction that is hosted by the Amish on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. We decided to give it a try with two of our seven excess roosters.
Today, we loaded them up and went to the auction.
Oh, my goodness, that was an incredible experience. When we arrived, we found hundreds of animals for sale. There were rabbits, chickens, goats, guinea pigs, hamsters, and even a calf and an albino turkey.
We registered our two roosters and went inside to watch the auction. The auctioneer was so talented with his fast-talking. They went through the animals quickly, holding each one up in the air to display it as the auctioneer announced the bids. We never saw our roosters make it to the block but were told that we will be mailed a check.
The extra photo is inside the auction. There are bleachers on either side of the auctioneer. About a hundred people were in the audience, but the real bidders seemed to be sitting in chairs on the floor.
