In the Morning Sunshine

It was a really cold cold night with rain, hail, strong winds and some snow. Most of the morning it only reached 3c. It did warm up the afternoon to 9c but felt like 3c because of the strong cold winds coming of the snow.

When I looked out the window at 5am I saw snow on the rooftops and some on the ground. It didn't last long once the sun came out first thing this morning. First snow to fall in the city in October for 53 years. Just as well I wasn't in Akaroa and wanted to get back into the city today as the road is closed because of the snow. Hope it  starts to warm up now.
