Bygone era

Nine hours of driving today took us from Reno to the outskirts of Las Vegas. Most of it through desert, with mountains and hills of intriguing geography all the way down.
We stopped for a lunch break in Tonopah, an old gold mining town, and drove through many rather derelict old settlements.
Tomorrow to Tucson!
