One of my favourite NT properties.

I’ve usually blipped the stunning house, or their amazing old dahlia walk, now replaced with “Purple Haze” wildflowers grown from turf.

Today, I rather liked this photo which is of the approach to the lovely gardens, in rather special light.

My extra is of the latest thoughtful initiative from their lovely gardeners. They invite visitors to help pick up the apples that have fallen on the lawn. You’re invited to take any you like home for cooking. I did my bit, and took three.
