Fan - tastic

With the autumn setting in, the winds are up and I noticed the palm fronds which sway and rustle. With the heat and drought of the summer, small and quite delicate thin strips peel off half way down the palm fronds, curl around each other and wave about like tentacles in the breeze. This is a section of one of the fronds which I thought looks rather surreal.
